Rep. Tony Rivero was instrumental in securing $475,000 in the fiscal year 2020 for the Arizona Commerce Authority to open new trade offices, including one in Guanajuato, Mexico.
He attended the opening of the trade office on Friday, joining other legislators in commemorating the event.
“Arizona’s growing international partnerships continue to play a critical role in our state’s economy and strength on the world stage,” Rivero said. “The opening of this new trade office in Guanajuato will join our already successful Israel and Chihuahua offices that are helping Arizona export goods and expand economic markets throughout the regions.”
The funding will also help towards opening trade offices in Israel and Chihuahua, Mexico.
Rivero represents one of the two seats in the Arizona House of Representatives in District 21. According to his profile on azleg.gov, he has been instrumental in the areas of Fiscal Responsibility and Open Government.
