Citizens Clean Election Commission pays an average compensation of $78,493 during 2018

The Citizens Clean Election Commission paid an average compensation of $78,493 during 2018, according to data compiled by The Arizona Republic. Arizona public employees as a whole averaged 25 percent less with a compensation of $59,597. Total compensation is made up of an employee's annual salary with the addition of any overtime pay earned throughout the year.

The highest-paid public employee working for the Citizens Clean Election Commission—Amy Chan—earned $150,800 as the board commisioner or committee member.

When calculating average compensation, only employees categorized as full time were included.
