The Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing paid an average compensation of $61,418 during 2018, according to data compiled by The Arizona Republic. Arizona public employees as a whole averaged 3 percent less with a compensation of $59,597. Total compensation is made up of an employee's annual salary with the addition of any overtime pay earned throughout the year.

The highest-paid public employee working for the Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing—Sherri Collins—earned $129,954 as the director.

When calculating average compensation, only employees categorized as full time were included.
