Tucson Fire Department issued the following announcement on July 19.
Sunday afternoon TucsonFire responded to calls of a house fire in the 2100 block of E. Irene Vista.
During the response a Tucson Fire Department Captain received a gunshot wound to his arm. He has been released from the hospital, is in good condition, and is recovering.
We are praying for our partners with AMR and support the Tucson Police Department as they continue their investigation.
