Sahuarita Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
At the start of October the Sahuarita Police Department challenged first responder organizations in the area to a food fight. The objective is for agencies to collect the most food for the Sahuarita Food bank by the end of October. The winning agency wins a Catered dinner from Cotton Family BBQ.
Those wishing to help out with the effort may drop off their non perishable goods, such as canned food, pastas, potatoes, rice and beans etc. to the Sahuarita Police Department during normal business hours and we will drop them off at the Foodbank, saving you the trip.
