City of Tucson issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.
Do you need help with housing, or are you seeking services?
If so, visit the one-day, one-stop "Hope in the Park" event, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at Santa Rita Park, 401 E. 22nd St. The event was an opportunity to learn about how to secure shelter/housing, clothing, pet care, substance abuse resources, and more. There will also be haircuts, health screenings, and hygiene kits available. Free transportation to the event will be provided via Sun Tran (Routes 7, 23, and 25), Salvation Army Hospitality House, Primavera Men's Shelter, Trinity Presbyterian Church, and others.
"Hope in the Park" is presented by Tucson Homeless Connect, the Tucson Police Department, and Tucson Parks and Recreation.
