City of Tucson issued the following announcement on Feb. 3.
The City of Tucson Office of Economic Initiatives has an open call to nonprofit organizations for the next round of funding in its Economic & Workforce Development and Special Events Grants Program. The City has been offering this program since 2012 to assist job training and educational programs aimed at teaching valuable skills to the local workforce. The program also creates access to better jobs for at-risk youth and adults, as well as special events that drive the economy, help build community, and enhance the quality of life. For the 2023-2024 cycle, the City is pleased to have additional funds to support this program under the American Rescue Plan Act. Grant applications are due no later than April 15 at 4 p.m., and an informational, pre-submittal meeting will be hosted on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 4 p.m.
