Councilmember Lusk retires from the Sahuarita Town Council

1103

Monday's town council meeting will have been Gil Lusk's last in service as a member of the council.

We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to councilmember Gil Lusk for his 10 years of service to the Town of Sahuarita during which time he established a legacy that will follow for many decades to come

His visionary leadership helped create the Sahuarita East Conceptual Area Plan (SECAP), a cornerstone of the town's general plan and a framework through which the town will grow and prosper all while seeking to incorporate the natural features of our desert landscape in a positive manner, maximizing natural drainages, opportunities for recreation, open space and wildlife

Another project advocated for by councilmember Lusk that is right now moving quickly toward completion is the Quail Creek Blvd. Extension, including a bridge over the Santa Cruz River that will ultimately bring together two disconnected areas of town

Councilmember Lusk has long been known as a strong advocate of economic development that has brought with it continual improved amenities and services to the residents of Sahuarita.

As a champion of our community, thank you, councilmember Lusk, for your dedicated service on the Town Council on behalf of your fellow residents and those many generations that will follow.
