Description:
Dolores Gonzalez Haro will have her art on display at Quincie Douglas Library during the month of May, 2022.
Dolores Gonzalez Haro was born in Los Angeles, CA. She was an El Monte resident--her family came to El Monte in the early 1900’s.
Dolores retired after 22 years from the Mountain School District in the city of El Monte. Her job gave her the opportunity to work with many students, parents and administrators. As an artist she began with self-help graphics in 1997. At that time she was introduced to many artists and has had the opportunity to be part of many exhibits displaying her work. Dolores also finds time to teach others to paint. She works with watercolor on paper and acrylic on canvas. Her students enjoy painting still life, portraits and landscape images. Her favorite image to paint is Our Lady of Guadalupe. She finds peace and solitude in her work.
She is now living in the city of Tucson, inspired by the beautiful Sonoran Desert.
“I feel very blessed to be able to create artwork daily and express myself through my work. Thank you all who have purchased and supported the arts”, states Dolores Haro.
