Pima County Sheriff’s Department is hosting our eighth annual Badges and Backpacks

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is hosting our eighth annual Badges and Backpacks event presented by Banner|Aetna. We want to provide students in Pima County with an all-inclusive event focused on equipping youth with a safe and healthy school year. This back-to-school activity and health fair is one you will not want to miss. It will encompass all three exhibit halls (A-C) at the Tucson Convention Center!

-BACKPACKS!

-  HEALTH FAIR!

-FAMILY FUN!

FREE BACKPACKS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES- We will give backpacks filled with school supplies to the first 3,000 school-aged children (K-12) who attend the event, compliments of Banner|Aetna.

HEALTH FAIR- El Rio Health will provide dental, vision, and hearing screenings on-site.  The Pima County Health Department will also be on-site providing vaccinations.

SAFETY STATION- to include, but not limited to Child Identification Kits, Booster Seat Safety, Bicycle, and Helmet Safety.

Here are some important things to note for the event:

• We are encouraging people to wear masks and to stay home if they are not feeling well.

• The backpacks are first-come, first-served.

• There will be only one (1) backpack per school-aged child.

• To receive a backpack the child must be present or the parent must have a birth certificate.
