The People’s Office was fired up

The People’s Office was fired up:

In Civil: two filings in the reproductive health case, the announcement of the opioid settlement, public records work.

In Criminal: another record number of jury trials, the release of a Public Service Announcement on overdose deaths, and more hiring!

In Victim Services: a beautiful, peaceful night last night at the Old Historic Justice Courthouse joining stakeholders to discuss how we can make the most of October: Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Because Monday is October 1, we are releasing our Monthly Newsletter, so in lieu of the Weekly here, we’ll direct you the Monthly: (If you are not already signed up, you can do so at the bottom of the page) https://www.pcao.pima.gov/newsletter/

And as always, the archive of Weeklies and Monthlies can be found by going to the website under the News Tab, linked here:

Lastly, pictured here is some of our Legal Services Building welcome team.  Jesus, Joseph, Everett, and Debbie (left to right) are the regulars during the week who take care of the lobby and often take care of our little part of Stone Avenue.

Case in point: a few weeks ago, Jesus and Anthony (not pictured) assisted a young woman whose phone was stolen at the Ronstadt center.  This left her without communication, and she missed the next bus to her job.  Anthony and Jesus calmed her down, helped her make a report, and Anthony ended up giving her a ride.

Every corner of the People’s Office is filled with compassion.  Every corner.

To be continued…
