International Day of the Girl Child 2022 and on Oct. 4, the Board of Supervisors proclaimed Oct. 11 as Girls Takeover Day to encourage “…all businesses and community members to lift up and amplify the voices of girls in their leadership roles today as they join the #GirlsTakeover movement in Pima County and as they continue leadership roles into the future.”
In Pima County, more than two dozen women leaders serve as role models for the girls of who aspire to become leaders of their communities.
