Baboquivari Unified School District #40 Education: 978 American Indian or Alaskan Native students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 978 American Indian or Alaskan Native students enrolled in Baboquivari Unified School District #40 schools in the 2022-23 school year, 6.8% more than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Baboquivari Unified School District #40 welcomed 1,082 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian or Alaskan Native students comprised 90.4% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Among the five schools in Baboquivari Unified School District #40, Indian Oasis Primary Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian or Alaskan Native students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 279 students.
